Weddings at Jaci’s Safari and Tree Lodges
Situated under a grove of Tamboetie and Leadwood trees on the banks of the Groot Marico River, in the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve.
The Madikwe Game Reserve is host to the “Top Ten” which includes elephants, lion, buffalo, leopard, wild dog, cheetah, brown and spotted hyena, square and hook lipped rhino and hippo to name but a few…….
Jaci’s Safari Lodge is a unique, open plan thatched area built around a huge termite mound.
At Safari Lodge each room has a private wooden deck which overlooks a small ravine and running stream. The rooms are a unique mixture of thatch canvas and stone.
Alternatively, explore Jaci’s Tree Lodge via the raised rosewood walkways linking all the luxurious tree houses. The tree houses are beautifully finished with silks, cotton and rustic African artefacts.
The rooms at both Lodges have open plan bathrooms complete with enormous rock baths and outdoor “jungle showers”.
The Lodges are adjacent to each other and each Lodge consists of eight luxury rooms.
Also available is the exclusive “Nare Suite” for the ultimate Bush Experience!
This is a 2 bed-roomed Suite with its own private pool and large deck that overlooks an active waterhole.
Both rooms have handmade rock baths and out-door “safari showers” from which you can view the bush.
The Nare Suite also has a kitchenette and living area and is ideal for a very private and exclusive bush breakaway.
Newly added – try our “Safari Suite” as well – a bedroom with double bed downstairs and a loft upstairs for the children. The Safari Suite has a bathroom and out-door “safari shower”.

Two Game drives daily which can be alternated with a walk . During the heat of the day relax around the pool or take a nap in one of the hammocks. You are assured of a wonderful ambience as dinner is served around the fire, under the stars. For a doubly pleasurable stay combine both Lodges in your visit.
Our Bush Weddings are ideal for the couple who seek that special celebration away from the fuss and stress of city life and the fanfare of a big wedding.
Choose a ceremony to include only yourself and your spouse or include friends and family in this special celebration.
You have the option of a variety of stunning venues at either Jaci’s Safari or Jaci’s Tree Lodge. Both Lodges can be included in one ceremony if necessary. Each Lodge with its unique features offer splendid accommodation for this special time.
Alternatively you can opt for your ceremony to be held in the bush at one of various options available. In this option the ceremony is set up in the bush at a venue of your choice.
At either choice – Lodge or Bush Wedding – the minister will perform a unique and beautiful wedding exclusive to your desires. A memory to be treasured forever.
Honeymooners can enjoy a romantic escape with us at either Lodge. Special turn downs and romantic surprises await you as you retire to your room for the night.
Children are welcome at both Lodges. Please ask about our children’s policy and programs specifically developed for children aged 3 to 12.
Wedding Options – Jaci’s Safari and Tree Lodge
We offer wedding packages at both Lodges.
The Lodges can be booked individually or together, they are 10 minutes walk apart.
We arrange weddings from 2 to 38 adults total and up to 8 children at Jaci’s Safari Lodge, please note no children at Jaci’s Tree Lodge.
The Rates as per normal room rates quoted. Both Lodges have the same rate.
Rate includes all meals, game drives and accommodation. Also Teas/Coffees/Snacks.
Not included in the rate:
Menu: There will be a rate subject to quote should the couple want a menu not offered by the Lodge.
Pastor: There is a R200.00 fee for organizing the Pastor from our side on condition that he is available for the date requested.
The Pastor charges R1500.00 which includes his traveling cost to the Lodge and a donation for the Church.
A local Pastor is used so that traveling and accommodation are at a minimal cost.
The Pastor requires the following:
Passport or ID documents, Ante-Nuptial Agreement (if applicable), Divorce Contract ( if applicable).
Wedding couple must be older than 21 or have consenting Guardians present.
Photographer: If we arrange a photographer it will be subject to Quote.
Flowers: The wedding couple must please arrange their own flowers for delivery to the Lodge.
If we arrange the flowers then this cost will be subject to Quote and transport availability to the Lodge.
In the norm minimal flowers are needed and we suggest 2 bouquets only as the Lodge Staff do use décor available to set the scene.
Cake: The Bridal couple can let us know their preference and if it is a cake that our Chefs can make it will be subject to quote.
Setting: The Bridal couple is asked to book into the Lodge a day early if possible so that they can have a look around and see what they would prefer as there are various options available, e.g. bush setting versus Lodge setting.
Bush Ceremony: If the Wedding Party are keen to do the ceremony in the “Bush” then there will be an extra charge of R2500.00 per 4 hours use for “sole use” of the vehicle and Guide to be used for this purpose should the group be smaller than 8 adults. This option is subject to availability.
